M. Bison
CHARACTER OVERVIEW:
Never has a man been more cloaked in secrecy than M. Bison. Ever since he emerged to lead the international criminal organization Shadaloo, the world has been awed by the incredible power at his command. Seen as the master of evil, Bison rules over his empire with an iron fist. Preferring to let his underlings do most of the dirty work, Bison only unleashes his powerful psychic ability when absolutely necessary. Unmatched in his power and agility, M. Bison reigns supreme as the greatest Street Fighter in the world. A tyrant with visions of world conquest, Bison rules his villanous band of soldiers with a blackened heart. Showing mercy to no one, he once demanded payment of 20 billion dollars by the governments of the world. If the money was not paid within 48 hours, he would have eliminated the 115 peaceful hostages held captive in his fortress. Aligned with the almost-as-evil Sagat, Bison felt he was all powerful and that he would rule the world when his top-secret weapon, an evil bio-warrior, had completed its incubation/programming process and set loose on the world on a mission of destruction! Unfortunately, for Bison, Guile arrives in the nick of time to foil his plans. Even though Guile is able to kill Bison, the maniacal general had a secret weapon under his power - a life support system which gives Bison his electromagnetic powers. Unfortunately, it also leaves him with even bigger delusions of grandeur. Even outnumbered, Guile defeats Bison once again. However, thanks to his life support system, Bison is comes back to make life miserable to Guile and his Street Fighters. After being brainwashed by the Khali statue, Bison's insanity reaches it's maximum and he decides to destroy the world after a number of unsuccessful plots to conquer it. He has a final confrontation with Guile, in which he gets magnetized with his Doomsday monitor computer by his own electromagnetic Psycho Power and is finally killed when the computer explodes.

THOUGHTS ON THE CHARACTER:
My absolute favorite Street Fighter character of all time, Bison has always been a fundamental part in the Street Fighter universe. Raul Julia is Bison, 'nuff said. His performance is absolute perfection and his lines are legendary and extremely quotable. Guile may be the hero of the movie, but Bison is the star. His plan for world domination is absolutely hilarious and fitting at the same time (Bisonopolis, Pax Bisonica and Bison Dollars). The movie also delves into Bison's enormous egomania in an absolutely ingenious comical way (The two rip-off paintings in his room, the rip-off motivational posters, etc.). He also breaks the fourth wall by using a Street Fighter II arcade stick to activate the mines. Darko Tuscan does a great job as Bison in the video game. Richard Newman captures Raul Julia's essence quite well, and his performance is also absolute perfection. He gets a lot of hilarious lines and moments in the cartoon. Bison's appeal to fans comes from the fact that nobody in the fiction likes him, not even his allies (with the exception of Zangief). And that's the reason why every Street Fighter fan loves Bison. Street Fighter would be nothing without Bison. My greatest regards to the late Raul Julia in his greatest (and sadly, his last) role in his resume.
